Epoxy Deck Stain

Tim Carter, of AsktheBuilder.com, demonstrates a deck sealer and stain that contains synthetic resins. This sealer stain doesn't contain natural oils that become food for algae and mildew.

Those epoxy stains are terrible. They do not hold up and are impossible to maintain. Utilizing an oil based stain/sealer with proper levels of mildewcide will look better and be much easier to maintain over the life of a deck.

Always do a proper two step cleaning and pH balancing process before you stain/seal and your deck will look great for awhile.
